Our food is made with organic blue corn sourced from family farms in Chihuahua, Mexico. Blue corn is higher in protein and fiber than white corn, and has unique antioxidants only found in few other foods like blueberries.
Pinole Blue uses the same ancient ingredients and processes as the Tarahumara, an indigenous group famous for their running culture. Tarahumaras drink roasted ground corn or pinole for energy, and are known to run more than 26 miles a day.
A portion of all proceeds is donated to the Tarahumara.
